Ingredients

2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. cocoa or brown sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. shredded coconut
pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. raw quick cooking rolled oats
chopped nuts
Preparation

Have all ingredients ready to work with.
Boil sugar, cocoa or brown sugar, Crisco and milk for 2 1/2 minutes.
Stir constantly and remove from heat at once.
Add remaining ingredients and mix all to cover oats evenly.
Drop immediately by teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper.
