Christmas Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/3 c. sour cream
    3 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream sugar and butter.
    Add egg, sour cream and then dry ingredients.
    Refrigerate until well chilled.
    Place on lightly floured board; roll about 1/4-inch thick.
    Cut into desired shapes. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 350\u00b0. Remove to cooling racks.
    Can be covered with a powdered sugar and water frosting and then decorated.
