Pecan Caramel Creme Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    16 vanilla caramels
    24 large marshmallows
    1/2 c. milk
    1 c. chopped, toasted pecans
    1 c. whipping cream, whipped
    1 c. graham cracker crumbs
    4 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
Preparation
    Place caramels, marshmallows and milk in top of double boiler. Cook, stirring occasionally until mixture is melted and smooth (approximately 25 minutes).
    Remove from heat; cool.
    Stir in pecans.
    Fold in whipped cream.
    Combine cracker crumbs and melted margarine.
    Reserve 1/4 cup.
    Press remainder into pan or dish. Pour in mixture.
    Sprinkle with reserved crumbs.
    Chill several hours.
    Cut into squares.
