Green Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. steak, cut into 1/2 x 1-inch strips
    1 Tbsp. Crisco oil
    1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
    2 c. water
    1 large green bell pepper, cut into strips
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch, mixed with 1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Fry steak in oil until brown; do not flour.
    Add onion soup mix and water; mix well.
    Simmer about 30 minutes until done.
    Add strips of green pepper; cook until tender.
    Mix cornstarch and 1/2 cup water; add to mixture.
    Stir until thick.
