Yellow Charlotte Russe - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
4 egg yolks
flavor with vanilla, sherry or fruit juice as desired (about 1 Tbsp. vanilla or 1/4 c. sherry or fruit juice)
2 c. heavy cream, whipped
2 pkg. (2 Tbsp.) plain gelatin
4 egg whites
Preparation

Put gelatin into the milk to soften in top of double boiler while you beat egg yolks and sugar together.
Heat milk to dissolve gelatin and add egg and sugar mixture.
Cook mix in the double boiler until it coats spoon.
Cool.
When cool, fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites; fold in whipped cream and flavoring. Pour into mold and allow to get firm before serving.
