Strawberry-Fig Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. peeled figs
    3 c. sugar
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jell-O
Preparation
    Mix and let stand, covered, in refrigerator overnight.
    Bring to slow boil and continue for 20 minutes.
    Let stand with gauze cover, in sunshine if available, until thickened.
    Seal and process.
