Crema(Molded Custard) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk, scalded
    8 eggs, slightly beaten
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla or rose water
Preparation
    Combine eggs, salt and 1 cup of the sugar.
    Add milk slowly, stirring constantly.
    Add flavoring and mix well.
    Melt or caramelize the remaining sugar in a heavy pan or skillet and glaze the bottom of a large tube pan.
    Pour custard mixture over the caramelized sugar.
