Coconut Cake Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    dash of salt
Preparation
    Cook milk and flour in saucepan over medium heat until thick. Cool in refrigerator.
    Combine sugar, shortening and margarine with mixer.
    Add chilled mixture and beat until sugar is dissolved.
    Spread on cake.
    Pat on coconut.
    Use with Betty Crocker butter pudding-in-the-mix cake mix.
    Better if made in 3 layers.
