Pecan Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white cane syrup
    1/4 c. water
    3 c. pecans
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Combine sugar, syrup and water.
    Bring to boil, then add pecans (broken or halved).
    Cook slowly until the syrup is brown. Remove from heat and add the other 3 ingredients.
    Pour as thinly as possible onto a well-greased cookie sheet.
    Allow to cool and then break into small pieces.
