Icebox Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 cake yeast
Preparation
    Scald
    milk.
    Add
    sugar,
    shortening
    and
    salt.
    When cool, add
    yeast\tand dissolve.
    Add 2 cups flour.
    Beat until smooth. Let
    stand\t1
    hour.
    Add
    more flour, soda and salt. Knead, make out into rolls.
    Let stand about 2 hours and bake. This sponge may be placed in icebox and used for several days.
