Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. all-purpose flour (sifted)
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts
1 c. shredded coconut or milk chocolate chips
Preparation

Melt butter in 2 quart saucepan.
Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar.
Add eggs, then beat well and stir in vanilla.
Add dry ingredients, coconut and nuts to brown sugar mixture.
Mix well.
Spread in greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
Cut in bars while warm.
Remove from pan when almost cool.
Makes 3 dozen bars.
