Kirby Nuckols' Icebox Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. warm water
    1 tsp. sugar
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    2 eggs
    5 1/2 to 6 c. bread flour
    1 c. boiling water
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening or 1 stick margarine
    1/3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Mix warm water, 1 teaspoon sugar and yeast; set aside.
    Add salt, 1/3 cup sugar and shortening to 1 cup boiling water.
    Add 2 cups flour and beat well.
    Add yeast mixture, beaten eggs and balance of the flour.
    Beat until smooth.
    Cover and keep in icebox until ready to use.
    Shape in rolls or loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes, reduce heat and bake 10 minutes more for loaf pans.
    Grease tops with margarine last 5 minutes.
    Makes 36 rolls or 2 loaves.
