West Indies Rice And Peas - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can pigeon peas
    3 c. rice
    1 can coconut milk (optional)
    2 tsp. thyme
    1 garlic
    1 onion
    salt and pepper (as desired)
    1 slice bacon
    6 c. water
Preparation
    Boil peas, seasoning, coconut milk and bacon in a pot of the 6 cups of water.
