Hilde Kline'S Jewish Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    6 to 8 large apples, sliced
    3 c. flour
    1 c. oil
    3 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. orange juice
Preparation
    Mix 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon.
    Pour over apples, which have been sliced; set aside.
    Beat remaining ingredients until smooth. Grease tube pan and pour half of batter into pan.
    Then add half of apples on top of batter.
    Pour rest of batter and then rest of apples on top.
    Dot with butter (optional).
    Bake for 1 1/2 hours to 1 hour and 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
