Jan Hazel(Dutch Cookie) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks softened butter or margarine
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 large egg yolk
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 egg white
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream together butter and sugar.
    Beat in egg yolk.
    Sift together flour, cinnamon and salt and add to sugar mixture. Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Spread dough in pan and sprinkle pecans evenly over top of crust.
    Press lightly into dough.
    Beat egg white very slightly and pour over pecans.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Cut in squares while warm.
    Makes 16 servings.
