Poppy Seed Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter
    1 2/3 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/8 c. (2 Tbsp.) poppy seed
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. flour
    1 c. sour cream
    4 stiffly beaten egg whites
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugar, egg yolks, vanilla and poppy seed. Thoroughly stir together flour, soda and salt.
    Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beating well after each addition.
    Fold in egg whites.
    Turn batter into a greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
