Easy Chicken Pot Pie - cooking recipe

3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/4 c. chicken broth
1 c. milk
2 c. cooked chicken, cubed
1 (16 oz.) can peas and carrots, drained
1 hard-cooked egg, thinly sliced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
1/8 tsp. pepper
Flaky Pastry
Preparation

Melt butter in a heavy Dutch oven; add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add broth and milk; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly. Stir in next 6 ingredients. Pour chicken mixture into a deep 1 1/2-quart casserole. Top with Flaky Pastry; cut slits in pastry to allow steam to escape. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Yields 6 servings.
