Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 c. packed brown sugar
1 (15 1/2 oz.) can pineapple chunks
maraschino cherries, drained
yellow cake batter (boxed or homemade)
cream, whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Before making cake batter, prepare topping.
In 13 x 9-inch baking pan, place butter or margarine; place pan in oven until butter melts.
Sprinkle brown sugar over butter.
