Au Gratin Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 medium potatoes, pared and sliced thin
    1/4 c. chopped onion
    1/3 c. flour
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    2 c. milk
    salt
    pepper
Preparation
    Place half the potatoes in a greased 2-quart casserole.
    Add half the onion and half the flour.
    Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Put in half the cheese.
    Repeat layers.
    Pour milk over all.
    If desired, sprinkle with 3 tablespoons buttered bread crumbs.
    Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.
    Uncover and bake 15 more minutes.
