Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    10 oz. 7-Up
    3 oz. strawberry jello (regular or NutraSweet)
    1 qt. large strawberries
Preparation
    Mix sugar, cornstarch and 7-Up.
    Cook until thick and clear. Add jello and stir until dissolved.
    Cool.
    Cut off tips of strawberries.
    Put strawberries upright in baked pie crust.
    Pour filling over strawberries.
    Cool 4 to 6 hours.
    Serve with Cool Whip topping or plain.
