Two-Potato Gratin - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 clove garlic
1 1/2 lb. sweet potatoes (about 3)
1 1/2 lb. boiling potatoes (about 5)
4 Tbsp. butter
salt and pepper
1 c. chicken stock or canned broth
3/4 c. dry bread crumbs
Preparation

Heat oven to 425\u00b0.
Butter a 2-quart baking dish.
Mince garlic.
Peel sweet and white potatoes.
Cut into thin slices. Put sweet potatoes in baking dish.
Dot with 1 tablespoon butter. Sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/8 teaspoon pepper and the garlic.
Put white potatoes on top.
Add stock. Melt remaining 3 tablespoons butter and combine with bread crumbs, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.
Sprinkle bread crumb mixture over potatoes.
Cover loosely with foil.
Bake 25 minutes.
Remove foil and continue baking until potatoes are soft and crumbs are golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes.
