Ingredients

2 c. sugar
2/3 c. cocoa
6 Tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Stir together sugar, cocoa, flour and salt in a medium saucepan. Whisk in milk and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick. Remove from heat and let cool 2 minutes before whisking in butter and vanilla.
Keep refrigerated in covered jar up to 6 months.
Serve warm or cold.
May add nuts or flavored liqueur.
