Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. navy or pea beans
    6 c. water
    1 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard
    1/4 tsp. ground cloves
    1 onion, chopped
    salt pork
Preparation
    Combine the navy or pea beans and 6 cups water; boil for 2 minutes.
    Let stand 1 hour.
    Add the remaining ingredients. Cover and bake for 3 hours.
    Add boiling water as needed.
    When done, remove lid and let beans brown.
