Quick Filled Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs, separated
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. melted butter
    1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
Preparation
    Cream the butter in a bowl until creamy. Add 1 cup sugar and mix thoroughly. Add egg yolks and beat well. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Add to butter mixture alternately with milk. Add vanilla.
    Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry. Fold into batter. Pour about 2/3 of the mixture into greased 9-inch square pan.
    Combine remaining ingredients and sprinkle over batter.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
