Ingredients

1 c. butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. fine chopped nuts
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Combine ingredients and chill dough for 20 minutes. Shape into small balls. Roll into granulated sugar.
Place on ungreased baking sheet.
Press flat with a bottom of glass.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Cool and frost.
Makes 7 dozen.
