Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
2 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (9-inch) pastry shell
1 c. coconut
Preparation

Combine flour, sugar and salt in saucepan.
Add milk gradually.
Add beaten egg yolks to small mixture.
Stir thoroughly and return to saucepan.
Cook over medium heat until bubbly (about 2 minutes).
Remove from heat and add butter, vanilla and coconut.
Top with meringue and brown in oven.
