Mushroom Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. egg whites (about 6 large) at room temperature
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. granulated sugar or 1 c. + 3 1/2 tsp. superfine granulated sugar
unsweetened cocoa (approximately 2 Tbsp.)
chocolate or chocolate-flavored compound coating (approximately 1/2 lb.)*
