Oh, So Easy Date Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. chopped dates
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 3/4 c. flour
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Pour
    boiling
    water
    over dates; let stand until cool. Blend sugar,
    egg
    and oil well; add to date mixture.
    Add dry ingredients,
    which
    have been sifted together.
    Stir in nuts. Pour into
    2 medium size bread pans.
    Bake in a preheated 350\u00b0 oven for
    1
    hour,\tor
    until
    it
    tests
    done.
    Cool; wrap in aluminum foil.
    Freezes well and can be made ahead.
