Banana Bread - cooking recipe

1 c. shortening
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
2 1/2 c. sugar
4 1/2 c. Sapphire flour
2 tsp. salt
2 c. buttermilk
1 c. mashed bananas
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar well.
Slowly add one egg at a time.
Add vanilla and baking soda.
Add salt to sift flour and sift 2 more times.
Then add slowly to flour, alternating the milk and mix.
Add nuts and banana; stir.
Pour in 2 greased and floured loaf pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or more; test with toothpick if it comes out clean, it's done.
Let cool in pan for 10 minutes before taking out.
