Old Fashioned Apple Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chilled shortening
    1/2 c. chilled butter
    5 to 6 Tbsp. ice water
Preparation
    Combine the flour, baking powder and salt in the bowl of a food processor fitted with the steel blade. Pulse two or three times to mix. Add the shortening and butter. Pulse until the mixture looks like coarse cornmeal with just a few lumps the size of peas. Add the ice water gradually and process until the mixture forms a ball. Remove from the bowl and shape into two disks. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
