Artelia'S Plain Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    4 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 c. shortening
    3/4 tsp. salt
    approximately 3/4 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together, then, with a butter knife, cut in shortening.
    Slowly add milk until mixture is moist enough to hold together.
    Turn onto a floured board.
    Roll to 1/2-inch thickness.
    Cut with a biscuit cutter or a drinking glass.
    Bake in a preheated oven at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Yields 12 biscuits.
