Ingredients

1 stick oleo or butter
1 c. sugar
1 beaten egg
1/2 lb. chopped dates
1 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. Rice Krispies
coconut
Preparation

Melt oleo and sugar together on low heat and stir until sugar melts.
Take from heat and cool, then add eggs, nuts and dates. Cook for 6 minutes on low heat until dates melt, stirring all the while.
Remove from heat and add vanilla.
Stir and add Rice Krispies.
Mix well.
When cool enough to handle, roll into balls or 2-inch long logs and roll in coconut.
