Flaky Pastry - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/2 c. cold water
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients.
    Cut in shortening.
    Combine egg, vinegar and water and stir into dry ingredients until all is moistened. Shape into a ball.
    Cover and chill thoroughly.
    This makes five 9-inch crusts.
    (This freezes well.)
