Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 good pinch of salt
2 eggs
1/2 of a 1/4 c. bar of butter
1 c. milk (or less)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. baking powder
7 large peeled, seeded, quartered McIntosh apples
extra sugar
cinnamon
extra butter
Preparation

Mix together all ingredients except butter and apples, adding milk gradually until batter pulls.
Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Stand butter in baking pan, larger than 13 x 9-inch, and place in oven until butter melts.
Grease pan with melted butter, pouring remainder of butter into batter.
Mix well and pour batter back into baking pan.
Lay apple slices on top using as many as you can so that batter is hardly visible.
Sprinkle sugar over apples and batter and do the same with cinnamon.
Put little dabs of butter all over the top of the cake.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 45 minutes.
