Ingredients

3 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. warm milk
1 pkg. yeast
1/2 lb. butter
1 tsp. salt
4 egg yolks (unbeaten)
4 c. flour
4 egg whites, beaten stiff
1 c. sugar
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. cherries, chopped
Preparation

Mix the first 3 ingredients.
Mix the butter, salt, egg yolks and flour as for pie crust (butter, flour and salt, then add yolks).
Mix together with the milk mixture and let rise.
Divide dough into 3 pieces.
Roll about 1/4 inch thick.
