Grandmother'S Lemon Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
1/3 c. lemon juice
1/3 c. cornstarch
3 Tbsp. margarine
3 beaten egg yolks
3 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
3 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation

Add cream of tartar to egg whites and beat until frothy; gradually add sugar while beating the egg whites until the mixture will form peaks. Add to pie. (Be sure to seal the meringue around the pie crust.) Brown in a 400\u00b0 oven just long enough to brown the mixture.
