Ingredients

3 c. light brown sugar
1 1/2 c. water
whites of 2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
chopped walnuts to taste
Preparation

Boil sugar and water until mixture forms a firm but not brittle ball when tested in cold water.
Beat egg whites stiff. Pour sugar syrup over egg whites and beat until mixture stands in peaks.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of mixture onto waxed paper.
Cool.
