Overnight Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce, cut up
    1/2 head cauliflower, cut up
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1 c. green pepper, chopped
    1 onion, chopped
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas (do not thaw)
    2 c. mayonnaise
    1/4 c. sugar
    4 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
    1/4 to 1/2 jar bacon bits
Preparation
    Layer first 6 ingredients in a dish. Spread mayonnaise on top. Sprinkle with sugar, then cheese and bacon bits. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Toss when ready to serve.
