Caroline'S Italian Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 slices bread (remove crusts, optional)
    1/2 c. water
    1 to 2 eggs
    1 to 1 1/3 c. ground beef
    1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
    2 Tbsp. parsley
    1 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    dash of pepper
    2 Tbsp. oil
Preparation
    Soak bread in water for 2 to 3 minutes.
    Add eggs and mix well.
    mix with ground beef, Parmesan cheese, parsley, salt, oregano and pepper.
    With wet hands, form meat mixture into small balls.
    Brown slowly in hot oil.
    Add meatballs to sauce.
    Simmer loosely covered
    for 30 minutes.
    (Can also bake meatballs on a cookie sheet in 350\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes.)
