Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter (unsalted)
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate bits
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Let butter stand at room temperature until softened.
    In mixing bowl, cream the butter, shortening, brown sugar and granulated sugar.
    Add the eggs and vanilla; beat well.
    In a bowl, stir together the flour, soda and salt.
    Add to creamed mixture and stir until well blended.
    Stir in chocolate and nuts. Drop from a teaspoon 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
    Yields 6 dozen.
