Chicken And Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large fryer, cut up and salted and peppered
    1 stick oleo
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 can water
    1 c. rice
    1 c. chopped onion
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 can English peas (optional)
Preparation
    Melt 1 stick oleo in a 9 x 13-inch pan in oven. Add rice, onion and celery.
    Brown. Stir often. Add mushroom soup and water; mix well. Place chicken on top of rice mixture and bake at 350\u00b0 until chicken is tender and browned.
    Stir once or twice to keep rice from sticking.
    May have to add water if it gets too dry before chicken is tender.
