Chewy Caramel Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (18.5 oz.) box chocolate cake mix
    14 oz. bag caramels
    2/3 c. evaporated milk (5 oz. can is fine)
    1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine
    6 oz. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Melt the caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk in double boiler (medium heat, stir often) or microwave.
    Combine cake mix, melted butter, and the rest of the evaporated milk. Spread half of the batter in a greased 13-inch pan.
    Bake 6 minutes at 350\u00b0. Cool slightly. Spread melted caramel mixture on top and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
    Spread remaining cake batter over the mixture.
    (This is tricky, but it will turn out fine.)
    Bake 18 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Cool and cut.
