Fastnacht Kuecheles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. flour
    2 pkg. dry yeast
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1/4 c. Crisco
    2 c. milk
    3/4 tsp. nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Mix about 3 cups flour, yeast, salt and nutmeg together in large bowl.
    Heat milk and Crisco together until lukewarm.
    Add to dry ingredients and beat 2 minutes at medium speed.
    Add eggs and lemon juice with more flour and beat 2 minutes.
    Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough.
    Knead well.
    Cover dough and let rise until double in bulk.
    Place on breadboard and roll about 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut in squares.
    Cover.
    Heat oil to 375\u00b0.
    Fry a few at a time.
    (Pull edges of dough to make a thinner center before frying.)
    Drain on paper towel, then shake in a bag with sugar and cinnamon.
