Burnt Caramel Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. sugar
2 c. milk
2 eggs, separated
1 Tbsp. margarine
Preparation

Blend in saucepan the first 4 ingredients.
Set aside.
In a small skillet, melt 1/4 cup sugar; cook and stir until a dark golden brown (use small amount of hot water to liquify).
Add the burnt caramel and milk to saucepan.
Mix until smooth.
Cook slowly until thickened.
Add last 3 ingredients; add slightly beaten egg yolks first and stir for a minute, then last 2 minutes. Whip whites into meringue.
Top with meringue.
