Cream Cheese And Jelly Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 cup margarine, softened
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    2-1/2 tsp. Equal sweetener (8 pkgs.)
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 cup spreadable fruit
Preparation
    Beat margarine and cream cheese until fluffy in a bowl. Combine flour, equal and salt and add to creamed mixture. Refrigerate until dough is firm, about 3 hours.
    Roll dough on lightly floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.
    Cut into rounds.
    Place rounded 1/2 tsp. fruit into center of each round of dough.
    Fold rounds in half and crimp edges with tines of fork. Pierce top of each cookie with the tip of a sharp knife.
    Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees about 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Cool on wire rack.
    Yield:
    3 doz.
