German Meat Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. lean ground chuck or round meat
    1 lb. sauerkraut, drained
    1 medium to large onion, chopped
    1/2 c. milk (pour milk over bread)
    2 heaping c. rye bread with caraway (break into crumbs)
    1 tsp. level caraway seed
    3 Tbsp. ketchup or chili sauce
    3 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. pepper (black or white)
Preparation
    Mix the ingredients in large bowl.
    Place in meat loaf pan; lay strips of bacon on top, if desired.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/4 hours approximately.
    Serve with parsley potatoes and applesauce.
