Ingredients

1 baked 9-inch pie shell
1 qt. vanilla ice cream
1 (21 oz.) can Wilderness blueberry pie filling
6 Tbsp. sugar
3 egg whites
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Preheat oven to 475\u00b0.
Press half of ice cream in a layer in bottom of cooled pie shell.
Freeze.
Spread 1/2 can of filling over ice cream; re-freeze.
Cover with layer of ice cream.
Freeze and top with rest of filling.
Freeze.
Add cream of tartar and dash of salt to egg whites and beat.
Add sugar, one tablespoon at a time and beat.
Pile lightly on frozen pie and seal well at edge of crust.
Put pie in oven and bake 3 minutes to brown meringue. Freeze.
Remove from freezer 20 to 30 minutes before serving.
