Lollipops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. lite corn syrup
    3/4 c. sugar
    few drops of food coloring
    18 sticks
Preparation
    Lightly butter baking sheet, arrange sticks on sheet.
    Combine butter, corn syrup and sugar in heavy 1-quart saucepan.
    Heat to boiling over medium heat, stir occasionally.
    Reduce heat, continue cooking until a drop in cold water separates into threads - hard but not brittle.
    Stir in food color.
    Pour over end of sticks.
