Peach Parfait Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. peaches, sweetened
    3 oz. lemon flavored gelatin
    1/2 c. cold water
    1 pt. vanilla ice cream
    1 baked 9-inch pie shell
    1/2 c. whipping cream, whipped
    peaches, sliced for top
Preparation
    Let peaches stand 15 minutes; drain syrup.
    Add water to syrup to make 1 cup and boil.
    Add gelatin and cold water.
    Cut ice cream into 6 pieces and add to liquid.
    Stir until melted.
    Chill about 20 to 30 minutes.
    Fold in peaches.
    Pour into cooled pie shell. Chill several hours.
    Top with cream and peaches.
