Deer Loaf - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. fresh pork sausage or smoked sausage
1 lb. ground deer
1 medium onion, chopped
3 eggs, beaten
1/4 c. milk
4 to 5 crushed crackers
salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 c. Smokin Grill barbecue sauce (from Newson's Store in Princeton) or any other smoky flavored barbecue sauce.
1/2 c. strained honey
Preparation

Combine first 7 ingredients and mix well.
Add 1/2 cup barbecue sauce and mix again.
Form into an oblong loaf.
Spread 1/2 cup barbecue sauce on top.
More may be used, if desired. Then drizzle half the honey over all.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 45 minutes.
Remove loaf and repeat barbecue sauce and honey method over all when loaf is half done.
You may brown the top for additional flavor.
So good.
